Copper Base PCBs use a solid copper core instead of aluminum, delivering thermal conductivity around 380-400 W/m-K - roughly 100 times better than FR-4 and far above standard 1-3 W/m-K aluminum substrates. The copper base also acts as a large built-in heat sink and can be pre-machined with mounting holes, pockets and shaped edges.

Key advantages: extreme heat dissipation for high power density, lower thermal resistance between LED or power die and the heatsink, superior mechanical strength for heavy components, and optional copper core thickness from 1.0 to 4.0 mm to match your enclosure.

Typical applications include IGBT and power modules, high-power LED floodlights and stadium lights, on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, welding equipment and laser diode mounts. We support 1-4 circuit layers, 1-6 oz circuit copper, board thickness 1.0-5.0 mm and ENIG / HASL / OSP finishes.
