Special Notes: Restricted Materials, Out-of-Spec Boards and Liability

A short pre-production checklist that avoids the most common assembly issues.

Restricted Materials and Processes

  • We do not assemble boards with customer-supplied solder paste.
  • Moisture-sensitive parts (MSL 3+) must be delivered in sealed packaging with desiccant and humidity indicator; baked-out parts need a written bake record.
  • Military/aerospace-grade specifications (e.g. full IPC Class 3/Space) require prior written confirmation - do not select Class 3 without agreeing on inspection scope first.
  • Populated boards using components under export control cannot be accepted; you declare compliance at order time.

Out-of-Spec Boards

If incoming bare boards fail our inspection (warping beyond IPC limits, exposed base metal, damaged pads), we stop the line and report with photos before assembly. Proceeding on customer instruction requires written confirmation and releases us from related defects attributable to the bare-board condition.

Lead-Time Exceptions

Quoted assembly lead times assume parts arrive complete and pass incoming inspection. Part shortages, customer change requests after production start, and customs delays on consigned parts extend the schedule by the actual delay plus one working day.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the assembly service value of the affected order. We are not liable for consequential damages. Defect claims must be filed within 30 days of receipt with samples or photo evidence. Nothing here limits statutory consumer rights where applicable.
