Assembling Flexible Circuits Correctly

Flex and rigid-flex boards behave differently on the line: they move, stretch and need mechanical support. We use custom FPC carriers, low-tension feeders and adjusted reflow profiles so polyimide circuits come out flat, clean and reliable.

Process Adaptations

Magnetic or vacuum carriers keep FPC flat through printing, placement and reflow.
Reflow profile tuned for polyimide thermal mass and stiffener joints.
Stiffeners and backer plates assembled per drawing (PSA, thermal bond or riveted).
AOI with flex-aware fixturing; functional test with the cable in free-bend state.
